Creating a Culture of Prayer and Dependence on God in Support Raising
The real issue in how prayer relates to the generation of resources lies in our understanding of prayer. What type of prayer? Join Sam Metcalf as he touches on several different kinds of prayer including intercession, declarative prayer, prophetic prayer, healing praying, blessing, and strategic prayer — and how this all affects those who partner with us financially. Prayer with and for our partners is a critical component if we are to embrace a transformation and not a transactional understanding of support raising. Sam may also take a look at how all of this relates to the concept of spiritual authority and our willingness to step into the positional and relational authority that Jesus has given us.

Sam Metcalf is president of Church Resource Ministries-US, (CRM), a band of creative missionaries who multiply movements of the gospel and mobilize the church for mission around the world. He holds a BA with honors from the University of Virginia, a Masters degree from the School of World Mission, Fuller Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Fuller School of Theology. He’s worked in the business work in international sales and marketing and served in Southern California as a staff representative for the Navigators. He’s led CRM since 1985 and is ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America. His recent book, Beyond the Local Church: How Apostolic Movements Can Change the World (IVP-2015) is a clarion call to those called to ministry beyond the boundaries of local churches and to validate the structures necessary for these apostolic leaders to thrive.
