About: Doug Christensen

Deputy Finance Director and Director of Relationship Development Ministry, SIM

Doug Christensen is the Deputy Finance Director and Director of Relationship Development Ministry with SIM in the SIM USA mobilization and support base. He is also a certified facilitator in the SRS Network leading SRS Bootcamps for SIM staff. Doug and his wife, Esther have been serving with SIM for 28 years, at first in Bolivia with the Quechua people and now in Charlotte, NC. He is passionate about using his gifts to care for the financial needs of SIM missionaries around the world. Doug and his team serve more than 900 families by providing training and encouragement to build and maintain a full prayer and financial support team. Doug and Esther are blessed with four children, two daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren. By God’s grace, all of them have served in short-term missions and some are still serving in long-term capacities.
