About: Wayne Simien

Director, Called to Greatness

Wayne is serving in campus ministry because he was reached with the gospel while attending KU in 2003. Originally from Leavenworth, KS, he came to KU to play basketball. As a student he served as a campus ministry leader, graduated with a degree in sociology, and was an All-American athlete. Wayne and his wife have been serving as campus ministers for eight years. He is currently a Director for Called to Greatness (CTG) at the University of Kansas. He oversees and executes evangelism, discipleship, and mission strategies for their KU and Washburn University chapters. He works with students from a variety of backgrounds, including undergrads, post grads, athletes, and international students. Wayne and his wife have been married twelve years and have five kids. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and coaching.
