COVID-19 Response and Resources

Very few of us saw this coming. It is hard to envision a time when the entire globe reacted in such a universal way as what we are seeing now.

It is historic and has outcomes that remain to be seen. The impact is like the wake of a large ship: it has waves that have an immediate impact and waves that have delayed implications. The first wave hits those who are directly impacted by the virus through sickness and death. The next wave hits their families and health care professionals. And then there’s the rest of us whose plans and lives have all been put on hold. There are all the small and large business owners whose livelihoods have been compromised and all the employees who don’t have work. Many others are impacted by the canceling or rescheduling of events and work projects. The list of canceled mission trips, graduations, weddings, vacations, schools, etc. is long. It seems like wave after wave keeps coming with more restrictions, change, and loss. Everyone is impacted in some way in the wake of the COVID-19.

No matter how big the waves or how strong the wind, Jesus is in the boat with us and is the one who commands the wind and waves in our lives.
