Welcome to Texas BSM's registration site for support raising training.
Hello and welcome to Thrive! During Thrive we will use similar techniques from our Bootcamp to learn healthy habits of support-raising. This is only for people who have completed Bootcamp. A few things to expect:
-There will be some homework. This is considerably less homework compared to Bootcamp. The homework will have some traditional-styled homework (Bible study, etc.), but will mainly focus on the individual (your heart, fears, motivators, etc.).
-We will have Thrive across two half-days. We are planning for Thursday morning and Friday morning.
-Thrive will be April 14 and 15.
-This Thrive will be virtual. No travel is necessary. Please secure workable internet access.
-When you sign up you will be assigned a gender-specific cohort. These cohorts will meet once a week leading up to Thrive. I will kick off these groups to give direction. Expect a one hour a week meeting for four weeks. The content of discussion in these cohorts will be learning about each other and what support-raising looks in each other’s lives.
-After Thrive is over, you will be assigned a cohort. This cohort is designed for group accountability. We will set the ground rules for this cohort later. For now, you can expect intentional conversations about support-raising after Thrive.
-This first Thrive is a pilot program for us. If you are able, please take notes of your experience. We will have a debrief time in order for you to tell us your thoughts of Thrive and how to improve.
-If you have any questions, please contact Ryan.

About Thrive Workshop
Since 2001, SRS has trained nearly 10,000 mission workers from over 500 ministries to be spiritually healthy, vision-driven, and fully funded Great Commission workers. SRS staff members raise their own support to provide excellent training resources, equip you to overcome obstacles in support raising, and help you thrive in ministry.
SRS Bootcamp is a completely interactive and engaging workshop. It is essential that you complete all the Bootcamp preparation before you arrive (24-40 hours), because once you get to Bootcamp, you will synthesize and practice with others what you learned during your preparation work. At the Bootcamp, you will:
- Gain confidence in communicating the biblical foundation for living on support, asking others to invest, and understanding the "God Ask"
- Learn best practices and gain confidence in sharing your presentation
- Rehearse with your peers and make real calls for appointments
- Experience the value of meeting with people and asking for support face to face
- Discover how to cultivate lasting relationships with your supporters

Before Coming to SRS Bootcamp
Make sure you have your homework completed and ready to talk around the table at this Bootcamp! You will need to bring:
-your homework (either on a computer or printed)
-A support-raising presentation (we will be role-playing these, so have something ready to go.)
-Dress code (Whatever you’d wear to a BSM meeting)
-A prayerful attitude.
As we get closer to March 30, you will receive an email detailing all the things you need to bring and be aware of. For now, get started on that homework!
