Swimming Upstream in a Denominational Current: Developing Ministry Partners within a Denominational Context
Mike has coached missionaries trying to raise support within a denomination for more than 15 years. He will present several ways to better understand doing ministry partner development within the framework of denominational missions systems. The webinar will also dive into contextualizing a missionary’s support presentation to the perspectives of a denomination. Finally, points will be discussed in how to make “the ask” in a way that is complimentary to and not competitive with the respective denomination’s mission support.

North American Mission Board (SBC)
Mike Riggins lives out his calling through the North American Mission Board (SBC) where he currently serves as the Coordinator of Missionary Mobilization. He has been serving with NAMB and its predecessor organization for over 25 years. Prior to that, he served as a field missionary on university campuses. Mike has been the lead MPD/Support Raising trainer at NAMB since 1995. He began his personal support raising journey in 1982. A native New Mexican, he lives in the Atlanta area with his wife Teresa and they are blessed with two adult children, Heather and Mark.
