Episode9
Stay connected (to Jesus)
During all of the time spent building relationships with supporters, it’s important not to neglect the most important one: your connection to Jesus! Here we’ll give you ways to pour into your relationship with Jesus, and also talk about why it’s important.

Maintain your relationship with Jesus
The lifestyle of a ministry worker is one of connection. You are constantly working to stay connected with hundreds of people through personal, digital, and written communication, both for your ministry and your financial partnership relationships. Yet there is one connection that rises above all the others in importance–your connection to Jesus.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5 [ESV]
If you have all of the money you need and are busy with ministry activity, but aren’t abiding in Christ and letting the outpouring of your life come from the overflow of grace and love you receive from Jesus, you will soon dry up. Make the tending and cultivation of your relationship with Christ the primary connection you are pursuing.
How are you doing with that most important connection? Secondly, are you currently connecting well with your spouse and immediate family? It will be hard, and possibly catastrophic, to blaze forward in ministry if those relationships are not also well tended.
We pray that as you abide deeply in Christ, your mission will be spiritually healthy, vision-driven, and fully funded and will culminate in you being used to glorify Him.
May God bless you in building your team of ministry partners,
