During each Support Raising Leaders Conference, we recognize champions of personal support raising who have given decades to the service of others in this critical area of ministry. The body of Christ has been blessed by these pioneers who have gone ahead and paved the way for others to mobilize needed resources for ministry.
It is our honor to recognize Mickey and Judy Booth of Cru with the Lifetime Service Award for Ministry Partnership Development. They have served with Cru for 48 years, and for the past 22 years, they have discipled and led MPD leaders in 75 countries. The Booths are passionate about support raising training and helping laborers reach full funding for the sake of the Great Commission. But they also seek to multiply themselves through longterm, intentional disciple making relationships with MPD leaders. They created the DMPD process (Discipleship MPD), bringing personal discipleship skills into the ministry of support raising around the globe. Ellis Goldstein, Director of MPD for Cru, says, “Mickey and Judy have likely had a greater impact in personal fund development than anyone in modern history. They’re responsible for pioneering the path and multiplying MPD leaders in 75 countries.” The Booths believe 2 Timothy 2:2 applies as much to the ministry of MPD as it does to other parts of the Christian life. As they often reiterate, DMPD is not a program, but an ongoing ministry to their staff. Join us in thanking the Booths for their lifetime of service to our Lord and the body of Christ. May their example spur us all on to leave a spiritual legacy that continues to impact the nations for generations to come.
