During each Support Raising Leaders Conference, we recognize a life-long champion of personal support raising who has given decades to the service of others in this critical area of ministry.
It was our honor to recognize Ellis Goldstein, Director of Ministry Partnership Development with Cru, with the Lifetime Service Award for Pioneering Biblical MPD Training at the Support Raising Leaders Conference in Orlando, Florida November 9, 2021.
Growing up Jewish, Ellis became a Christian at Penn State University through the ministry of Cru. After graduation he went on staff with Cru, investing his early years ministering to students at Boston College and Brown university; he then spent a decade as Operations Director for the Cru Northeast region. In 1991, he transitioned to the role of Director of Ministry Partner Development for all of Cru and has led and grown that ministry for almost thirty years.
In addition to equipping the thousands of Cru staff and leaders around the globe to thrive in partnership development, he also selflessly served many other Christain organization; he freely offered himself and Cru materials if they could help advance other Kingdom works. Ellis, along with Scott Morton, rallied Christian leaders around the idea of Biblical fundraising by launching and hosting the bi-annual Fundraising Symposium.
We thank Ellis for a lifetime of service to our Lord and the body of Christ. May his leadership, teaching, and influence continue to impact the nations for generations to come, and we pray God would multiply his legacy through all of us here.
